How to reset iPod Forgotten Password Without Software.

If you own a apple iPod you may encounter the rare but irritating device freeze, there could be several reasons for such freeze, the very first step you should take is try to reset password and see if it works, use the following method to restoring iPod to factory defaults loosing everything stored in it your Apple forgotten password .

1. Connect you iPod to your computer.

2. Make sure you have enabled viewing of hidden files and folders in explorer If not open windows explorer-> Go to My Computer>Tools>Folder Options>View>Show hidden files and folders.

3. Open "My Computer" and then Open you iPod device icon to open its file system, now navigate to folder iPod_Control: > Device " folder.

4. You will see a file named  _locked rename this to _Unlocked, Now to reset the password open the file in notepad and delete all contents in it and save.

5. Now Remove your iPod from Computer.

6. Your iPod Screen lock is now disabled.
